A good formation is the first step to win a battle. 《Day of  zombie》 has four soldier types: Crossbowman, Warrior, Gunmen, and Chariot. They have their own advantages and disadvantages. A commander should know your troop and benefit from advantages and avoid disadvantages by choosing the right formation. So, how to select the right formation? First, know your troop! 

　　Here are four attacking types: Horizontal AOE Damage, Single Attack, Vertical AOE Damage, and All Targets AOE Damage.

　　Crossbowman Horizontal AOE Damage: Damage all targets on horizontal direction.

　　Warrior Doing single attack, Damage one enemy target.

　　Gunman Vertical AOE Damage, Damage all targets on vertical direction. 

　　Chariot All Direction AOE: Damage all targets.

　　An appropriate formation and positioning enable commander to reduce losses and maximize damage. Here are two formation recommendations. 

　　First one  When facing three horizontal AOE damage soldiers on the front row, put one Crossbowman on the front and three Chariots on the back to win easily.

　　Second one When facing three vertical AOE damage soldiers on the front row, empty position No. 1 and put some baits in position No. 4 and Chariots in position No.2 and No.3 to win easily. Due to attacking style and the relationship between horizontal and vertical direction, a commander could defeat strong enemy with weak army. However, do not attack opponent whose level is way above yours. 

　　Above two formations suit new commanders. Once you understand each soldier’s aura and restraint effects, you will become a strategic commander.
